Bridget Anderson’s "Ainsley" Outfit in Lavender Polka Dots

Bridget says, "Children’s Corner, Ainsley, was created using Fabric Finders polka dot lawn (no longer available). I omitted the waist band for a casual, breezy look. Lavender Swiss wale pique was the perfect match for the cute side vent skirt. Mother of pearl buttons finish the back of the top as well as the vents on the skirt.
For a little yoke embellishment, I made a fabric flower from the lavender pique. After making 6 fabric "petals", make a little tuck stitch at the bottom of each one. Then, using running stitch, run thread through each petal overlapping each one over the next. Pull the thread to cinch and make a circle. finish the flower with a polka dot covered button. You could also substitute with the cute yo-yo flowers."
