Carolyn Johnson sewed enchanting Christmas dresses for her daughters using beautiful tones of wine and forest green that coordinate beautifully together. Carolyn has provided all the details for each dress! For her oldest daughter, she uses the PDF pattern "Edelweiss" from Peony Patterns. Per Carolyn, she modified the main skirt and underskirt to a double circle skirt with one inch horsehair. For the back, she used one layer of organza with a black zipper close and neck binding. She added piping to the seam connecting the lantern to the top section of the sleeve.

For her middle daughter, she also used "Edelweiss" with a narrow scalloped collar and added a Mederia hem. Carolyn hand-sewed the flowers on prior to construction of the front and after the mederia hem was sewn. She cut two inches off the sleeve to add a cuff and put two buttons per cuff to join. She sewed the underskirt per the pattern for fullness and added piping to the front where the skirt joins to the bodice.

For Carolyn's youngest, she used Peony Patterns "Lupine". She added a double circle skirt and for the front chevron bodice, she added pintucks, then added stabilizer behind it. She also added a ruffle at the bottom, piping along ruffle, chevron front bodice pieces, neckline and sleeve cuff.
