KIT- " Adelaide" using the #3 "Bishop" pattern by Children's Corner – 5 yrs.

KIT: '"Adelaide" is a bishop sewing kit based on Children's Corner pattern #3 "Bishop", View A.  The fabric is a beautiful floral lawn from Spain and comes pre-pleated.

Sew Worth Knowing:

1.  Photo is a digital design for inspiration only 
2.  We imitated the "Annelise" smocking plate by Ellen McCarn but Children's Corner Bishop pattern comes with a smocking plate, "Mary's Bishop".  You can use any smocking plate, using 11 rows or less, that has been designed for a bishop.
3.  Patterns (smocking design and Bishop)  are NOT included with the kit. (You may already have the patterns  in your stash)

Before You Stitch-

 You will need to complete the kit in this order:

1) First, smock your desired design
2) Follow pattern instruction pages, beginning with step 7.

Kit Includes: 

• 1 Pre-pleated (11 rows) Cotton Lawn from Spain, small floral (Bishop)
• Fabric strips (for bands in neck and arms and piping around neck)
• 1 1/2" x 16" placket piece (optional, view B (continuous bound placket)
  *This is an optional placket to use, if desired over view A (self-faced placket) - DRESS IS CUT FOR VIEW A.
• 1 yard Double fold bias with yellow picot edge (TA-Blue-2-Picot-Yellow) (optional sleeves trim)
• 2 yards Microcheck Pink Piping (PIP-SV-MICRO-COLORS-pink) (opt neck and sleeves)
• 1/4 yard button loop, white (TB-17A-ButtonLoops-Wht) (for buttons)
• (3) 1/2" shank buttons, precious pink (E-26-FB-PP)
• (4) DMC floss for smocking: 704, 726, 794, 899 (smocking)*
• 1 plastic snap
• 1 spool Mettler poly thread, #2000
