Ms. Dot’s BlueBird "Swiss Muslin", "The Poor Man’s Dress"

Ms. Dot likes to call this beauty, "The Poor Man’s Dress" because she wants everyone to see that "Beautiful" does not have to mean "Expensive"! She used Collar’s Etc. "Yoke Dresses 1" pattern, BlueBird blue Swiss Muslin (Fairy Fabric), with perfect hand embroidery for the dress. The little slip was made from white Imperial Batiste - 3 tucks above hem, edged in the machine shell stitch.

A delicate featherstitch decorates the bias neck and sleeve bands as well as following the scallop of the hem. Sweet bullion roses adorn the point of each scallop. No lace was used on this dress!
