Nona Pontiff was inspired to make a new version of her favorite vintage pressing tool (from the '70's!)----a pressing mitt. This ironing tool is useful for pressing any slightly curved or shaped seams, such as darted areas, princess seams, or side seams in the hip area of garments. It is also useful for any area that is smaller than the rounded end of your standard ironing board, such as sleeve heads or the shoulder area of children's garments. It has one wool side and one muslin/canvas side. It can be used flat on the ironing board, or with your hand (carefully) inside to get into small areas.
